Bengals Win Potato Barrel

Presque Isle, Maine--The University of Maine at Fort Kent men's soccer team again won the annual Potato Barrel game, defeating UMPI 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Stefan Petricevic scored a hat trick and assisted on another Bengal goal to power UMFK past the Owls.

The Bengals absolutely dominated play throughout and out shot UMPI 46-3, 25 coming on goal to keep UMPI keepers Caleb Bragg-Grady and Matthew Manter busy all afternoon. UMFK keepers Butch Forbes and Alex Charette combined to make two saves to pick up the win.

Jamie Reid and Ross Downie added first half goals and Justin Soontiens and Willie Monthe, who scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season, added second half goals. Petricevic scored all three of his goals in a six minute span in the first half starting in the 34th minute.
