Game Recap
The U-Maine Fort Kent men’s basketball team fought off U-Maine Machias to win 79-76 Friday night in overtime at the Bengal Basketball Classic in Fort Kent, Maine. UMFK will play Daemen College Sunday at 2pm in the final day of play at the three team classic.
Junior guard Jeremy Thomas (Detroit, Michigan) scored 20 of his career-high 32 points in the first half and senior guard Manny Odugbela (Providence, Rhode Island) added 23 for UMFK (4-1) who led 42-36 at the break. Junior forward Pablo Llamas (Leon, Spain) grabbed a game-high 13 boards to go with eight points for the Bengals.
UMM (1-2) was led by Jeremy Tolbert who scored 25. Will Lewis added 14 and Zach Armstrong 13.
