Game Recap

The U-Maine Fort Kent men's basketball team used strong three point shooting and two big runs in each half to down U-Maine Presque Isle 80-58 Saturday afternoon in Presque Isle, Maine. The Bengals (6-5) play in Rhode Island Saturday vs. Johnson & Wales University at 3pm and Sunday at St. Andrew’s School in Barrington, Rhode Island against Virginia University Lynchburg at 1pm to close out first semester play.

On Saturday in Presque Isle, UMFK opened the game on a 23-6 run and then used a 20-7 run to put the game away in the second half. Jeremy Thomas (Jr., Detroit, MI) led four Bengals in double figures with a game-high 22points (6-7 3PT). Manny Odugbela (Sr., Providence, RI) added 13 points going 3-3 from downtown as UMFK knocked down 12 three pointers on the day.  Pablo Llamas (Jr., Leon, Spain) had a complete game with 12 points, seven assists and six boards and senior forward Othniel Hyliger (Sandy Point, St. Kitts) added 11 points.

Patrick Manifold led UMPI with a team-high 17 points.
