Shaun Tomblin ('01) scored 1,789 points during his four-year standout career as a forward on the Bengal's basketball team.  He currently is ranked number one on the UMFK all-time scoring list. Playing under coaches Jim Graffam and Derek Johnson, Shaun was a 2001 All-American honorable mention and first team All-Conference player. Shaun also was an exceptional student.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.  He was named to the 2000-2001 Who's Who in American College list.  Outside the classroom, and off the court, Shaun was active in the drama club, as an admissions counselor, and as a residence assistance.  Following graduation, Shaun gave back to his alma mater as a member of the UMFK Board of Visitors from 2002-06. Shaun's career path took him away from the world of athletics.  Following the path he laid out for himself in the classroom, Shaun entered the business world.  He began with a stint as a collateral analyst with Congress Financial Corp in New York City and worked his way though the field in other positions, as well.  Shaun currently is employed as a financial advisor with New York Life Insurance in New York City. Shaun and his wife, Janell, have three young children. Tomblin finds time in his busy personal and professional life to volunteer his time as a coach for a local church youth group.
