Bengals Come From Behind to Win
October 22, 2017 • Standish, Maine

Standish, Maine--The University of Maine at Fort Kent women’s soccer down found themselves down 2-0, 25 minutes into the match against St. Joesph's College of Maine, but they scored four unanswered goals to comeback and win 4-2.

Tolu Oyeniyi scored a first half goal to cut lead down to 2-1 at halftime.

USCAA Player of the Year Sherifa Sumaila then scored in the 57th and 80th minutes to put the Bengals in the lead. Kendra Freund added an insurance goal with a little over a minute to go. Gabi Riccadri-Shortt and Catherine Bruno added assists.

Sumaila pushed her USCAA's leads in both goals and assists and now has 26 goals and 16 assists on the season.

Valentina Green made six saves for the win in goal.
