Bengals Sweep Vermont Tech
December 4, 2017 • Randolph Center, Vermont

In the women’s game, the Bengals got off to a slow start on offense as the Knights played a 1–3-1 zone. But the three point shooting of UMFK came alive as they hit five, three point shots in the last five minutes of the first quarter to lead 19-14.

The Bengals then mixed in their own zone defense that stifled the Vermont Tech shooters and limited them to just one shot as Tate Dolley and Ashley Sauri combined for 16 first half rebounds. UMFK held VT to just seven in the second quarter.

UMFK stretched a 16 point halftime lead to 30 in the middle of the third period and never looked back. UMFK held Vermont Tech to just 21 points over the final three quarters.

Savana Jankowski had a monster game with 25 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and five assists. Kailee Dowler also added 10. In total, eight Bengals scored five or more points.
