Bengal's Victory Tri Match
October 4, 2021 • Standish, ME

The Bengals Volleyball team splits a tri match in Standish, ME at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday against St. Jospeh's College and Emmanuel College.

For the third game of the day the Bengals took on the Monks winning the match 3-1. The Monks started the game head strong winning the first set 25-17. Without hesitation, the Bengals rallied together against the Monks with intensity they pulled of the second set 20-25. Abigail Thompson was in her zone as she 11 kills and blocks. She is now in first place for hitting average in the USCAA . With steam still on the Bengals from losing the first set they pushed forward with the third set winning 20-25 and the last set finally putting the Monks away with 21-25. In triumph the Bengals were as they had picked up their second win of the day in true victory over the Monks (SJCME) and the Saints (EC).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

Abigail Thompson earned 11 kills and 4 blocks. 

Allora Somonton earned 9 kills 

Kaylee Neher had an amazing game by earning 8 kills, 3 aces and 13 digs. 

Heather Harness tallied 4 kills, 3 aces and 12 digs, 

Halle Ham defensively earned 15 digs 

Carla Rodriguez also added on 4 kills, 17 assist and 6 digs.
