Sophomore midfielder Glenn De Frietas (Johannesburg Gauteng, South Africa) collected a deflected ball off a coner kick and punched home the equalizer with just six seconds left giving the U-Maine-Fort Kent men’s soccer team their second straight 2-2 draw with Carleton University Wednesday evening in an exhibition contest from Fort Kent, Maine. Box Score

Kennard Brown (Jr., St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) evened the score at one in the twenty-third minute of the first as he controlled a ball in the offensive third and beat the Raven keeper low to the corner for his first pre-season goal. However, Carleton earned and converted a PK in the eighty first minute to regain a one-goal advantage after one of their players was ruled taken down in the UMFK box, setting up De Frietas’s late heroics.

In Tuesday’s exhibition opener with Carleton, freshmen forward Ben Kluvers (Chicago, IL) scored the equalizer for the Bengals in the second half with Ross Downie (So. Edinburgh, Scotland) picking up the Bengals' other goal. Kluvers and Downie also picked up assists on the day.

In the both exhibition matches, freshmen keepers Jamie Cleland (Dunfermline, Scotland) and Nick Howard (Bolton, Lancashire, England) have split halves in goal with Cleland playing the first and Howard the second.
