Host Fisher College erased a 35-30 halftime deficit by outscoring the U-Maine-Fort Kent women’s basketball team 43-25 on their way to a 73-60 win Sunday in Lynn, Mass.
UMFK had 23 turnovers and shot just 37 percent from the floor in the game. UMFK also surrendered 23 offensive rebounds to the host Falcons. Javana Benard led Fisher (1-4) with 22 points and Porsha Grayson added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the big win for the Falcons.
UMFK (2-2) was led by Alexis Warne with 12 points while Salinda Chan and Brooke Harris added 10 points each. Samantha Carapellucci grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to go with seven points in the loss.
