Seniors Taylor Boucher (Fort Kent, Maine) and Jenn Colpitts (Scarborough, Maine) led the U-Maine-Fort Kent women’s basketball team past Fisher College (Boston, MA) 73-59 Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in Fort Kent, Maine.

Colpitts scored a team-high 20 and Boucher added 19 and seven assists for UMFK who opened the game on 19-5 run. Fisher (8-13) rallied behind the play of Javana Bernard who scored a game-high 33 points, to get within one point at 30-29 early in the second half. However, UMFK stepped up again and 19-0 run to build their biggest lead of the day at 49-29. Sophomore Samantha Carapellucci (Fort Kent, Maine) added 11 points and 13 rebounds for UMFK.

UMFK closes their regular season at 12-7 and will wait to see if they qualify for the eight-team USCAA National Championships March 3-7 in Uniontown, PA. UMFK is ranked number eight in the latest USCAA Poll released Friday and the final poll will be Friday February 21.
