The U-Maine-Fort Kent men's basketball team gave up a big second half to host Berkeley College as they lost 70-63 in a USCAA Match-Up in New Rochelle, New York Tuesday evening. UMFK (7-18) led 31-24 at half time but gave up 60% shooting to the host Knights (13-8, #11 USCAA D2) in the second as BC outscored UMFK 46-32.
Fred Sanchez (So Bronx, NY) paced three Bengals in double figure scoring with 18 points. Jorge Matesanz (JR Sevilla, Spain) added 17 including five three-pointers and Jeremy Bishop (JR Montreal, Quebec) had 14 points.
Jovan Bovell led BC with 18 points and senior center Ellijah Craig had 12 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks.
