Bengals Win on Senior Day
February 7, 2015 • Fort Kent, Maine

Fort Kent, ME—The University of Maine Fort Kent Women’s Basketball (13-6) Team finished their home schedule off with a blowout victory over visiting Fisher College (3-17), 94-61. This game was a rematch of a January meeting where UMFK beat Fisher 107-39.

The Falcons hung tough in the first half as they shot 47% from the floor to trail by only 3, 41-38. The defensive intensity increased for the Bengals in the second half as they held Fisher to only 23 points. UMFK meanwhile scored 53 and outrebounded their opponents 50-30 overall. This was the senior game for UMFK’s seniors, Ericka Saucier, Danielle Carrillo, Alexis Warne and Ziggy Brown.

Sam Carapellucci led UMFK with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Ericka Saucier had 20 points and 8 rebounds and fellow Senior Danielle Carrillo had 21 points and 4 assists in her final home game.

Fisher was led by freshman twins Murphy and Madison Carroll, who had 18 points each.
