Bengals Lose to #1 Rochester

Hazleton, PA--The University of Maine at Fort Kent men's basketball team dropped their second straight game to Rochester College Wednesday afternoon, 75-51. Rochester is the #1 ranked team in the USCAA and #21 in NAIA.

The Bengals got off to a horrid shooting start and Rochester College hit eight three point shots to cruise to the win. Rochester held UMFK to just 14 field goals for the game, six of those coming from long range. Junior All-American Joe McCloskey was held to just two field goals, one in each half and 10 points. Jake Rioux led UMFK with 14 points, including four three pointers. Fletcher Brown contributed 10 points.

Rochester was led by Angelo Griffis' 17 points. Justin Nafso added 12 points and 5 assists. Paris Periera and Branden Adams each scored 10.
