Delhi, New York-- Mauro Vicic hit a three point shot from the wing with his team trailing 70-68 with 13.2 seconds remaining to power UMFK past SUNY Delhi. UMFK had missed a shot, but a Fletcher Brown offensive rebound set up the winning shot.
The Bengals trailed for about 35 minutes of the game until the last five when the lead changed four different times. Delhi started the game on a 12-0 run, but a UMFK ended the half on a 22-10 run over the final 8:11.
Qaadir Ali scored 13 of his 16 in the first half to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Rosevelt Smith Jr. had another stellar all around performance with 20 points, including 16 in the second half to go along with 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Marquis Glenn had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Fletcher Brown had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
SUNY Delhi was led by Chianaka Browns' 21 and Mike Guity's 17.
