Machias, Maine--The University of Maine at Fort Kent men's soccer team continued their undefeated run to start the season by trouncing in-state rival University of Maine at Machias, 8-0 on Monday afternoon.
The Bengals scored five first half goals, the first team within five minutes of each other beginning with Ben Kluvers, the two time USCAA National Player of the Year. His first of two, first half goals was scored in the 15th minute and it proved to be enough for the Bengals.
Tom Coxon, Rodney Witter and Keano Williams each added a goal in the opening stanza. Kalusha Kotes, Carlos Crusat-Lopez and Kyle Robin added second half goals to power the Bengals.
Keepers Romario Romain and Butch Forbes split time in goal and combined to make four saves.
