Big Second Half Leads Bengals Past Wheelock

At Waterville, the UMFK women’s basketball team overcame a nine point halftime deficit and outscored their opponents from Wheelock College, 60-30 in the second half, on route to a 84-63 victory. The win pushed UMFK to a perfect 7-0 record thus far on the season.

Necole White came off the bench to post an impressive stat line of 15 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The Bengals hit double digit three point shots for the fourth game this season and held their opponent to just 32% shooting. Madison Fenner hit five three’s for 15 points, Angel Clark hit three, three point shots and finished with 13, while Maleini Tanaki had 12 points and 8 rebounds.

The Bengals will play UMaine Machias tomorrow in the second game of the Thomas Classic.
