April 19, 2017 • Fort Kent, ME

Fort Kent, Maine—The University of Maine at Fort Kent women’s volleyball coach Jessany Munoz is happy to announce the signing of Haley West, the first player in the recruiting class of 2017. West will come to UMFK from Shasta College in Redding, CA. Shasta College was the JUCO where Coach Munoz played her first two years of college.

Coach Munoz says, “We are very excited to have Haley join our team this fall. Her versatility as a setter will have a huge impact for our offense. She brings hard work and leadership to the court. I believe she will be a great fit for Fort Kent".

Last season, the setter finished with her season with 995 assists. Good for 8.81 per set. She also produced 19 solo blocks and had 51 service aces. West was named to the Golden Valley Conference Honorable Mention team last season as a sophomore. She graduated from Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, CA. West will major in nursing.
