MEN'S BASKETBALL vs. UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT
There are no upcoming games currently scheduled. Please check back at a later time.
Burlington, Vermont—The University of Maine at Fort Kent men’s basketball team fought for 40 minutes against NCAA Division I Vermont, but ultimately the length, shooting and depth of the Catamounts was too much for UMFK.
Vermont, a team who last year made the NCAA tournament and won 29 games, started on fire, hitting three, three point shots and opened up a 13-0 lead on the Bengals. UMFK would play decent defense not giving up any second chance points in the first half, but missed too many easy shots to make the game a real contest.
The Bengals shot just 35% from the floor and we’re out rebounded 50-31.
Vermont put four guys in double figures and UMFK was led by Anthony Knight, who had 12 points and nine rebounds. Bobby Syvanthong had 10.
