Tyler Shular led Fisher (1-1) with 17 points (11-11 free throws) and Earnest McNeil recorded a double double with 16 points and 11 boards. Fisher, an NAIA independent from Boston, Mass., went 29-31 from the free throw line while UMFK was just 10-11.

UMFK (1-1) junior guard Jorge Matesanz led four Bengals in double figures with 16 points (4-6 3PT%). Freshmen Mike McClung added 13 points, six boards and four blocks. Kevin Phillips dished out a game-high 10 assists.

Fisher led by 16 (31-15) mid-way through the first half before UMFK trimmed the deficit to seven (39-32) at the break and then made the contest a one possession game down the stretch.
