Game Recap

The Fisher College men’s basketball team withstood a late U-Maine-Fort Kent rally to win a non-conference match-up 81-71 in Lynn, Massachusetts Tuesday evening. Fisher improves to 12-16 with the win while UMFK closes their season at 7-21.

The two teams battled back and forth in the first half and the Bengals went into the locker rooms up 2, 34-32. Fisher then built an early ten point lead to begin the second half but UMFK responded, with an 8-0 run of their own to get back into the contest. The teams then exchanged runs with Fisher making one final push to pick up the victory.

James Givens (JR Fairfield, California) led three Bengals in scoring with 24 points. Nikola Vukosavovic (FR Bar, Montenegro) had 15 points and a career-high 18 rebounds and Fred Sanchez (SO Bronx, NY) added 12 points and a team-high six assists.

Tyler Shular and OJ Moore led Fisher with 18 points each.
