Boston, Massachusetts--The University of Maine at Fort Kent men's soccer team bounced back from its first loss of the season to beat Fisher College, 4-0, on Tuesday evening in Boston. UMFK lost Sunday to Bryant and Stratton, which ended their 54 match win streak.
UMFK outshot Fisher 23-1 in the first half, but could only muster one goal. James Blanchett snuck one past the keeper for the 1-0 halftime lead. The Bengals continued to dominate play and ended up outshooting the Falcons 38-7 in the contest.
Blanchett added a second goal to start the second half and Freshman Shawn Genus scored two goals in four minutes to put the game out of reach.
Butch Forbes and Glenroy Osbourne combined for the shutout and win in goal.
