Junior Willie Monthe scored two second half goals to carry the U-Maine-Fort Kent men’s soccer team over USCAA school Washington Adventist 2-0 Friday afternoon in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Monthe broke a scoreless first half with two second half goals. The first came in the 57th minute unassisted and the second in the 83rd minute on an assist from Matt Dunn. UMFK moves to 12-2 with the win while Washington Adventist fell to 6-4.
Jamie Cleland picked up the shutout win making five saves on five shots on goal while Wash. Adventist keep Daniel Olofinsua suffered the loss making five stops on seven UMFK shots on target.
