The University of Maine at Fort Kent Track & Field Team returned to the track for the first time this season at the Peter Slovenski Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday, finishing in 6th place on both the men's and women's side.

 

Leading the way with top 3 finishes for the Bengals were Marjorie Johnson placing second in the 800m (2:48.04), The Women's 4x200m relay team of Jordan Maxwell, Sheba Johnson, Casey Veilleux, and Vinnette Blake placing second (2:00.11), the Women's 4x400m relay team of Nonia Reguera Gonzalez, Marjorie Johnson, Casey Veilleux, and Vinnette Blake placing second (4:50.25), and Brian Wright taking third place in the 200m dash (24.11). 

 

The Bengals also set 6 indoor school records: Ibra Mbacke (800m), Nonia Reguera Gonzalez (60m Hurdles), Women's 4x200m, Women's 4x400m, and Abbi Thompson in two events (Weight Throw and Shot Put).
