Concord, New Hampshire--The University of Maine at Fort Kent women's basketball team dropped a close contest to USCAA D2, New Hampshire Technical Insitiute, 70-58 on Friday evening after leading for three quarters of the game.

The Bengals started strong and led NHTI by seven at the break (32-25), but a dismal fourth quarter, in which UMFK allowed 28 points to their opponents was the breaking point. NHTI shot 63% and outrebounded the Benglas 13-2 in the final frame in which they outscored UMFK, 28-13.

NHTI won the rebounding battle, 54-42 and held their opponents to just 30.8% from the floor. Tate Dolley and Ashley Sauri each had 13 points. Bianca Gutierrez and Savana Jankowski contributed 13 and 11.
