WOMEN'S BASKETBALL vs. APPRENTICE SCHOOL

The UMFK Lady Bengals took on the Apprentice School from Newport News, VA Friday night, December 13th.
After a halftime lead of 42-24, The Apprentice School was able to bring the score to a three point lead late in the second half with high pressure defense and their ability to get to the free throw line and provide foul trouble for the Lady Bengals.
The UMFK women were able to hold on for a 75-68 win. Jenn Colpitts led the Bengals with 16 points while going 9-9 from the free throw line. Sam Carapellucci and Alexis Warne added 15 and 11, respectively.
The Lady Builders were also had three players in double figures. Courtney Collins paced the squad with 25 while Danita Walker contributed 13 points and Shanae Hilliard chipped in 12 going 3-6 from behind the arch.
The Lady Bengals will travel to the Virginia area January 8 to return the home contest to the Lady Builders.
