Fort Kent, ME—The UMFK Lady Bengals collected their second victory of the year in a blowout over UMaine Machias Saturday afternoon, running away with it, 84-30. The Bengals opened the game 18-2 and never looked back from there. UMFK led at halftime 37-9.
It was a balanced effort as every UMFK player that suited up, scored a basket. UMFK shot nearly 50% from the floor and outrebounded the Clippers 43-18. They also had 24 assists on 38 shots and forced 23 UMM turnovers.
Senior Danielle Carrillo led the attack with 15 points. Sabrina Head added 11 points and 6 rebounds off the bench and Sam Carapellucci just missed out on a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Ericka Saucier had 8 points and 9 rebounds and Kayla Richards scored 6, had four steals and dished out 7 assists.
The Bengals will be back in action as they take on rival UMaine Presque Isle on December 3rd in Presque Isle.
