Bangor, Maine--The University of Maine at Fort Kent women's soccer team was utterly dominate in a 5-0 victory over Husson University on Tuesday afternoon. The Bengals controlled the pace throughout and outshot Husson 39-5.
Catherine Bruno started the scoring in the 17th minute when she struck a ball into the upper corner of the net past Eagle keeper, Kayla Gordon. Marie-Laurance Montagne scored two goals, five minutes apart to give the Bengals a 3-0 halftime lead. A Katherine Ferland goal and Kayla Richards penalty kick gave the Bengals the 5-0 win. Yosselin Burrueco and Emma Ashby both added assists.
Bengal keeper Peighton Ahlberg picked up the win having to make just two saves. Gordon for Husson was peppered all game long and picked up 19 saves.
