Game Recap

The Bengals entered Nationals on a great note as Halle Ham achieved Player of the Year while Danae Ford, Kaylee Neher and Erika Guiterrez all earned  All- Academic the night before. 

The Bengals started off strong against St. Mary of the Woods winning the first set 25-20. St. Mary of the Woods then returned with intensity and seeked out the open spots on the floor to take the lead of the sets. Tensions were high as the Bengals tried to pull together diving for balls and excuting great hits to the back row. St. Mary of the Woods was still able to pull away winning the first match of Nationals 3-1. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

Set 1: 25-20 

Set 2: 22-25

Set 3: 25-12 

Set 4: 19- 25 

Heather Harness was a defensive force for the match as she had 20 digs, Kaylee Neher earned 6 kills with Danae Ford adding on 7 kills to offensively stay in the match. 

St. Mary of the Wood's Hannah Zuege was an offensive threat as she earned 16 kills in addition to Alexis Woodburns 14 kills.
