WOMEN'S BASKETBALL vs. UNIVERSITY OF MAINE MACHIAS

The U-Maine-Fort Kent women’s basketball team earned a hard fought 67-64 win over U-Maine-Machias in a USCAA match-up from Fort Kent, Maine Tuesday evening.
UMFK (4-2) built a 10 point lead (37-27) at halftime and then was able to fight off a furious UMM (2-2) second half rally for the win. Ericka Christensen (Warren, ME) led four UMFK players in double figures with 20 points and added a game-high 10 rebounds. Taylor Boucher (Fort Kent) knocked down four three pointers on her way to 14 points, Kayla Richards (Presque Isle, Maine) added 12 points and 5 assists and Jennifer Colpitts (Scarborough, Maine) added 11 points and 6 boards.
UMM was led by Samira Cruz’s game-high 28 points.
