Game Recap

 The University of Maine-Fort Kent women’s soccer team blanked Thomas College 5-0 in a non-conference contest Sunday afternoon from Waterville, Maine.

Arianne Pelletier (So., Ste Jerome, Quebec) scored the first of her two goals on the day in the 24th minute of the first half to open the scoring for UMFK (8-0-0). Standout Freshmen Katherine Ferland (Montreal, Quebec) scored three second half goals to record her sixth hat trick of the season in just eight games. The Bengals outshot Thomas 29-6, and held an 11-0 advantage in corners.

Kimika Forbes (Jr., Trinidad & Tobago) picked up her fourth shutout of the season making one save on one shot for UMFK while Lindsay Hoopingarner (Richmond, Maine) had 17 saves in her first collegiate start for Thomas.
