Rick Crosby graduated from UMFK with an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1990. Rick received numerous player of the week/month awards while an athlete at UMFK. The Bengal men’s soccer team never lost the  potato barrel during his years as goalie. During the 1990-91        season, Crosby was ranked 8th nationally in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for goalies for shutouts and goals allowed.  After graduation, he moved to Florida to work and continued to play soccer.

Crosby enlisted in the United States Army in 1996, and was selected for Officer Candidate School, where he was commissioned as an Officer in 1998.  He served at multiple levels of leadership. Crosby has been deployed to Kosovo, Iraq (twice), Guam, and Kuwait.  He has spent a lot of time working in the Middle East with coalition partners strengthening relationships and improving air defense against ballistic missiles throughout the region. Crosby commanded the first unit in the U.S. Army’s history, which was able to strike rocket/mortar in flight, thereby protecting the U.S. and Allied Soldiers. He was deployed to Guam with the first-ever deployment of the Theatre High Altitude Air Defense to provide protection against North Korean aggression.

Rick’s last duty station was at the U.S. Strategic Command, located at Offutt  Air Force Base, outside Omaha, Nebraska. While there, he served as a joint  planner developing actionable plans derived from Strategic Guidance given by the U.S. President and Joint Chiefs of Staff.

As of the beginning of March, Rick has retired the military and is enjoying time with his family before starting the next chapter in his life.
