UMFK Track and Field Wraps Up Season

Burlington, Vermont-- The University of Maine at Fort Kent Track & Field Program concluded their inaugural season on Saturday at the USCAA National Invitational in Burlington, Vermont. The men finished 3rd out of 8 teams while the women finished in 6th out of 8 teams in rain soaked conditions on the University of Vermont campus.

The Bengals took home the gold in 7 events: Nick Gayle in the 100m and 200m, Rodane Hibbert in the 400m and 400m hurdles, Mandy Graham in the 1500m and 5000m, and Ajay Thompson in the high jump. UMFK added 6 more top 3 finishes with Vinnette Blake taking 3rd in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m, Ajay Thompson taking 2nd in the 200m, Joe Enerva taking 2nd in the shot put, and Rodane Hibbert taking 3rd in the long jump and javelin.
