The UMFK men’s soccer team shutout NAIA independent Fisher College 9-0 in a non-league game Thursday evening outside Boston, Massachusetts. The Bengals improve to 3-0-0 with the win while Fisher fell to 0-2-0 on the year.
UMFK, who has never lost to Fisher in soccer dating back to their Sunrise Conference days, fired 42 total shots with 23 going on goal while Fisher managed just two total shots. Eleven different Bengals recorded at least a point on the day with freshmen forward Ben Kluvers (Vernon Hills, IL) leading the way as he notched a pair of goals.
Freshmen midfielder Kyle Robin (Glasgow, Scotland) tailed three assists and Jamie Cleland (Fy., Dunfermline, Scotland) and Alex Caballero (Jr., Orono, ME) combined to make two saves on two shots.
