USCAA Soccer All-Academic, All-American Teams, soccer teams return from USCAA Nationals

The University of Maine at Fort Kent men’s and women’s soccer teams returned home from Charleston, West Virginia on Monday afternoon were they took part in the 2013 USCAA Soccer National Championships. The teams were honored in a ceremony at the UMFK Sports Center for their exceptional seasons.

The men's team finished at 17-3 as USCAA National Runner-up. They advanced all the way to the National Championship game where they lost a heart breaker 2-1 to the host school West Virginia Tech. The UMFK men placed multiple team members on the USCAA All-Academic, All-American and All-Tournament teams.

The women won their third USCAA National Championship in an overtime thriller 3-2 over Daemen College. The Lady Bengals finished the season at 17-1-1. The Lady Bengals also had multiple members make the USCAA All-Academic, All-American and All-Tournament teams.
