Fort Kent, Maine- The University of Maine Fort Kent women's soccer team rode a hat trick in each half to an 8-0 victory of University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon. Katherine Ferland provided the hat trick in the first half and Veronica De La Cruz provided the second half hat trick.
UMFK split its 22 players into two teams for each half and were dominate throughout. Ferland got the Bengals off the mark in the 4th minute with a goal and the Bengals cruised from there. Alex Beauchesne and Tiffany Anderson also provided goals for UMFK. De La Cruz tallied her second hat trick of the season in her first campaign in Fort Kent.
Michelle Delgadillo and Peighton Ahlberg combined for the win without having to record a save.
