Michael McClung, who made the all-tournament team, finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocked shots to lead U-Maine-Fort Kent men’s basketball to a 74-62 win over U-Maine-Presque Isle in the consolation game of the Colby College Classic on Sunday in Waterville, Maine.
James Givens added 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists for UMFK (3-3 overall). Mauro Vicic was 6-for-10 from the field for 13 points and Fred Sanchez added 10 points.
Michael Warner, an all-tournament team pick for UMPI (2-3 overall), had 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Thiago Conceicao added 15 points, nine rebounds, and three assists for UMPI who trailed 33-27 at halftime.
UMFK forced 20 UMPI turnovers and had just 11 of their own and 18 total assists.
