Game Recap

 The U-Maine-Fort Kent men’s soccer team defeated U-Maine-Presque Isle 10-0 Wednesday afternoon in a USCAA match-up from Fort Kent, Maine. The contest was the 35th Annual Potato Barrel match between the two Aroostook County schools who began the series in 1978. With the victory, UMFK has now claimed the last twelve Potato Barrels.

On Wednesday, The Bengals (9-0-0) offense erupted for ten goals on the day and UMFK outshot UMPI 29-2 on target and held a 14-0 edge in corner kicks. Kennard Brown (So., St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) led a well balanced scoring attack for UMFK with two goals and an assist on the day.

Giovanni Sinclair (Sr., St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) and Alex Caballero (So., Orono, Maine) split time in goal in making two saves on two shots for UMFK while Joshua MacKinnon and Ryan VanBuskrik combined to 18 saves on 29 UMFK shots for 4-5-0 UMPI.
