Prior to UMFK, Romain was a 1st-team selection for goalkeeper on the Secondary School Football League in Trinidad and Tobago. Holds the record for least goals conceded in one season. Once had 24 clean sheets and went 1440 minutes without allowing a goal. He was part of an NCCAA DII National Championship team.
