Jeff Pillsbury
Jeffrey Pillsbury ('87) had an outstanding career on the court for the Bengals. Pillsbury compiled 1,642 points during his career in Fort Kent. He captained the men’s basketball squad his junior and senior years. Pillsbury was named an Academic All-American his last two years at UMFK, attesting to his high grade-point average. He was a three-time all-tourney selection; most valuable player 1884-85; most improved player 1984-85; and the season assists leader 1983-84. His number 5 jersey was retired in 1987. Off the court, Jeff was active as the student representative to the Social Science division. On the academic front, Pillsbury was the recipient of the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence; the Grindle Award; and the Haenssler Award. Following graduation, Jeff went on to become a successful coach, guidance counselor, athletic director and administrator on the high school level. He currently is assistant principal and athletic director at Mt. Abram High School in Strong, Maine. Jeff is an active volunteer for a variety of youth sports organizations in his community. He also is an avid outdoorsman. He is married and has three sons.
