Larry Violette

Violette was a four sport star at UMFK in the mid 1960s. He played basketball from 1963 through 1966, and soccer during the 1964 and 1965 campaigns. In 1963, he was the basketball team’s MVP. He captained the squad in 1964-65. He set a single-season scoring record of 170 points in 1964 and broke his own record the following year in 1965 with 187. He played all positions in basketball. He was honored as the 1964 Outstanding Male Athlete for his play in basketball, soccer, and badminton.
