Whitney Sinclair

Whitney led the Lady Bengal’s soccer team to back-to-back United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships in 2010 and 2011. She was a three-time Sunrise Conference Player of the Year, who led the NAIA and USCAA in scoring during all four of her playing seasons. Whitney broke the school record at UMFK with 131 goals and added 56 assists for 319 points, while leading her teams to an overall record of 67 wins, eight losses and one tie. She was named Sunrise Conference Rookie of the year, two-time USCAA All-American 1st Team selection and 2010 USCAA National Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Whitney was a member of the Student Nursing Organization. In 2011, she was named UMFK Female Athlete of the Year. As a student, she worked as a certified nurse’s aide for nursing homes and home health care services.

Whitney played one year for the Maine Tide, a women’s premier soccer team. In the community, she has coached soccer and softball.  She coached alongside hall of famers Andre Anderson (’12) and Barrington Blake (’13) during summer camps at Nokomis High School.

She graduated from UMFK in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Currently, Whitney works at Acadia Psychiatric Hospital in Bangor, Maine providing mental health services aimed at helping children.
