Keith Williams II

Keith Williams II joined UMFK after being in the front line at his secondary school football team for Coach Eric Gill. He was part of their South Zone Champions Team. He continued his athletic career as a forward for the UMFK Bengal Men’s soccer team from 2008-2011.

Williams propelled the team to three NAIA National Tournament appearances and NAIA Elite 8 in 2008. He was named Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Year and NAIA Division I for the third highest goals scored that same year.

He was selected as a USCAA All-American 1st Team and led the team to UMFK’s first National Championship in 2010. Keith was a two-time USCAA and NAIA All-American selection. He was a three-time Sunrise Conference 1st Team player. During Keith’s career, the men’s team defended four “Potato Barrel” Championships over UMPI.

On campus, Williams served as a student representative on the President’s Cabinet, Transitions Committee, Commencement Committee, and UMS Board of Trustees. Keith was UMFK’s Student Senate president from 2011-2012. He also was involved in recruiting perspective students for the University.

He was active in the community as a volunteer for the Can Am Crown Sled Dog Races and Fort Kent’s first Biathlon World Cup. Keith served as a summer soccer camp coach from 2009-2011.

Williams graduated in 2012 with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. After graduation, he returned to Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, to work of the Ministry of Energy and Affairs in the summer of 2014 and in 2015 returned to the United States to earn a Masters of Arts in educational leadership at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky.

Currently, he is a teacher’s aide at Couva South Primary School. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing table tennis, and hanging out with friends.
