Lucas Levesque

Lucas Levesque, a Fort Kent native, earned a bachelor degree from Thomas College in 2002. Lucas was hired in 2003 as the new UMFK women’s basketball coach, a position in which he held for eight years. In the fall of 2004, Lucas Levesque became UMFK women’s Bengal soccer team coach until the fall of 2017. He served as assistant director for Admissions and assistant athletic director during his tenure at UMFK. Coach Levesque is the all-time wins leader in both women’s soccer and women’s basketball at UMFK. He won four consecutive United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national champions (2013-2016) and six overall in the seven years that UMFK has been a part of the USCAA.

He received the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) East Regional “Coach of the Year” in 2010 and in 2015 USCAA National Soccer “Coach of the Year.” In addition to, a six-time Sunrise Conference “Coach of the Year” (three-times for soccer and three-times for basketball).

Lucas was involved in the summer co-soccer programs held at UMFK. He was very instrumental in the growth and building of athletics at UMFK.

Coach Levesque left UMFK in 2017, along with his family, for a position as director of coaching for Rome Arsenal Soccer Club in Rome, Georgia. Levesque is currently working on his master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. Lucas, his wife, Amy, have two daughters, Abby and Sophia.
