Oniqueky Samuels

Oniqueky Samuels was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. He enrolled at UMFK in the Business program in 2007.

He was a major contributor to all four UMFK Men’s Soccer USCAA National Championship Teams, as a player in 2010, as an assistant coach in 2015 & 2016, and as head coach in 2022. Coach Oniqueky recruited excellent student-athletes and pushed them to excel on the pitch, in the classroom, and in serving the community. He compiled a 53-12-8 record over 5 years as head coach from 2018 to 2023 and helped lead his players to 14 All-Tournament Team selections, 14 First-Team All-American selections, 28 All-Academic Team selections, 1 USCAA Student-Athlete of the Year selection, and 1 USCAA National Tournament MVP selection.

As a player from 2007-2011, Oniqueky tallied 7 goals, 20 assists, and 34 points in 73 games, while his squad compiled an 80-4-3 record. He was named an NAIA Academic All-American in 2010 and 2011 and to the Sunrise Conference First-Team in 2009 and 2010. In addition to the USCAA National Championship in 2010, the Bengals teams that Oniqueky played for won four Sunrise Conference Championships and four Potato Barrel Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010.

Oniqueky graduated from UMFK in 2011, and in 2012, he earned a second degree in Accounting. He attended graduate school at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky, and served as the assistant soccer coach. In the fall of 2014, he returned to UMFK to work as an Academic Skills Specialist and continued to coach soccer. In 2018, he was named the new Head Men’s Soccer Coach at UMFK while attending UMO to earn his Master’s of Business Administration degree in 2022.

In 2023, Oniqueky Samuels was named the new Men’s Soccer coach at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Oniqueky is married to Theresa Biggs, and they have one son, Mali.
