Madeleine Martin

Madeleine Martin is from Fort Kent, Maine, where she attended Fort Kent Community High School. During her high school career, Martin participated in alpine skiing and tennis while also serving as a member of the National Honor Society and student council.

Martin earned high honors in the classroom and received numerous athletic recognitions, including a Coaches Award, two Butch Shaw Awards and Athlete of the Week and Athlete of the Year honors. She also helped her team win three consecutive Class C Northern Maine championships.

Winning the regional championship three years in a row remains Martin’s proudest athletic accomplishment. The achievement was especially meaningful because each championship reflected the commitment, hard work and teamwork demonstrated by the entire team throughout the season.

Martin credits her mother as the most important influence in her development because of the constant encouragement and support she has provided.

Away from athletics, Martin enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite television program is Gilmore Girls, she supports Argentina’s national soccer team, and ribs are her favorite food.
