Dover, DE -

Early this evening on Oct 20th at 1:00 pm, the Bengals face the Hornets of Delaware State University. The Bengals played a great game during the first half as they held off the D1 team for 44 minutes. Just as time was running down, DSU’s Mckenzie Burns snuck a goal past Dominic Valadez, who had been a force during the first half.

The Bengals go into the half scoreless, but with great leadership, the women’s soccer team came into the second half with intensity and didn’t let up another goal. Although the Bengals were able to be a force on the defensive end, they were not able to score against DSU’s keeper as the Bengals were able to get off 10 shots on goal. Bengals lose 0-1.

Tough road trip for the Bengals as they came away 0-1-4, now having a 4-game losing streak. Although the Bengals faced adversity on the road, they are now ranked #1 in the USCAA Polls.

Next, the Bengals look to face UMPI Owls on Oct 24th in Presque Isle, ME, at 12:00 pm.
