Bengal’s Victory Tri-Match
The Bengals Volleyball team split a tri-match in Standish, ME at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday against St. Jospeh’s College and Emmanuel College.
For the third game of the day, the Bengals took on the Monks, winning the match 3-1. The Monks started the game headstrong, winning the first set 25-17. Without hesitation, the Bengals rallied together against the Monks with intensity, and they pulled off the second set 20-25. Abigail Thompson was in her zone, as she had 11 kills and blocks. She is now in first place for hitting average in the USCAA. With steam still on the Bengals from losing the first set, they pushed forward with the third set, winning 20-25 and the last set, finally putting the Monks away with 21-25. In triumph, the Bengals were as they had picked up their second win of the day in true victory over the Monks (SJCME) and the Saints (EC).
