Bengals Beat College of St. Joseph (VT)
The University of Maine at Fort Kent women’s basketball team got back to their winning ways, defeating fellow USCAA Division I member, College of St. Joseph (VT), 68-48. This is the first win of the second semester for the women and moves their record to 7-8 overall.
UMFK held their opponents to just 25% from the floor and outscored the Saints by 27 over the final three quarters. CSJ jumped all over the Bengals early and held them to 4-14 shooting and six turnovers.
The game was just a four-point margin in favor of the Bengal, but a 25-9 fourth-quarter outburst was more than enough for UMFK to bury CSJ.
Savana Jankowski led the Bengals with 20 points, eight rebounds, five steals, three blocks and three assists. Bianca Gutierrez and Tate Dolley each had 17, while Dolley had 10 rebounds.
