Bengals Open Season With Win

The long trip to Buffalo from Fort Kent was worth the wait as the visiting Bengals were eager to begin their season. The Lady Bengals did exactly as they intended as they started off the season with a win over Warren Wilson College of North Carolina at the Villa Maria College tournament in Buffalo, NY. The Bengals jumped out to a 20-6 first-quarter lead and never looked back. The Bengals were all over the glass as they outrebounded the Owls 54 to 38. Everyone scored for UMFK, but Trinity Washington led the way with 24 points to go along with 14 rebounds. The Bengals will take on Fisher College in the second day of the tournament on Saturday at Noon.
