Men’s Basketball Loses to Life University

The UMFK Men’s Basketball Team stumbled out of the gate against the host team Running Eagles in the second day of the Life University Classic Tournament. Although the Bengals stayed in the game throughout, never getting down by more than 12 for the first 35 minutes, it was the length and athleticism of the home team that wore down the Bengals’ offense. Johnathon Caldwell kept the Bengal attack alive throughout the game with his strong shooting performance going nine of 15 from the floor including six made three-point baskets to finish with 27 points. The Bengals now drop to 2-5 on the season with a matchup against Eckerd College up next from St. Petersburg, Florida on November 20th.
